It was a big night for Ticketmaster taking two prizes at Ticketing Technology Awards! The ceremony took place during the Ticketing Technology Forum 2016 at the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin in front of an audience of senior industry figures.
Sam Isles - Vice President, Artist Services, Ticketmaster International and Managing Director, TicketWeb – won the Executive of the Year Award for her stellar career in the industry spanning nearly three decades.
Like many people in the industry, Sam started her career behind the window of a box office in her teens. From there she rose to Vice President of Artist Services for Ticketmaster International in 2012, here she and the team have successfully launched the division across 15 markets internationally. For the last 10 years in this role, Sam has been working tirelessly with promoters, artists, agents and managers to help them meet their objectives, and to bring the fan closer to the artist. Alongside this in 2014, Sam was appointed to the role of Managing Director of TicketWeb and is responsible for driving the business forward working hand-in-hand with Artist Services offering yet another avenue for artists, labels and industry to maximise objectives of all those involved.
Peter Quinlan was proud to collect the Best Product Innovation award for the Collector Ticket. He collected this award on behalf of Phil Jennings, Melanie Schinck, Nigel Barrett, David Smith, Francois Thominet and his French team who were the visionaries behind this product, along with the Collector Ticket market team who have continued to work tirelessly on launching the Collector Ticket. A huge team effort!
In an ever-increasing technological world, where digital and e-tickets are fast becoming standard place, Ticketmaster decided to introduce a special kind of ticket just for the fans – The Collector Ticket. This premium, high quality, physical ticket that acts as a collectable souvenir that fans can keep, as well as entry to the event, is the only product of its type available in the marketplace making it unique for fans. Since being made available from early 2015, over 140,000 Collector Tickets have been sold across France, Austria, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway and UK markets. The Judging Panel called it “A great product which fulfils the demands of customers who want the convenience of digital ticketing but still want that unique souvenir ticket”.
The Ticketing Technology Awards have been launched to recognise leadership, innovation & achievement in the application of technology in ticketing across sports, performing arts, music, cinema, live entertainment and visitor attractions. Both awards were decided by an online ballot of the global ticketing industry.
